Hola!  It’s not even noon and I’m already finishing up research work for the day.  Got in super early and crushed it.  I love being in the office when it’s empty.  Slowly combing through all the related articles from various medical journals that have done research on cognitive function in rheumatoid arthritis (my topic, broadly).  It’s key to be thorough so as not to miss any pertinent research findings for my written review.  Once I select all the articles I’ll include in my literature review I’ll be analyzing and evaluating them based on methods used and findings.  All of this will help me present a complete picture of current up to date knowledge and data on my topic so when I start analyzing my own data (from a Canadian group of rheumatoid arthritis patients), I’ll have a basis to compare it to.  Woo!  Lots of work to be done still, but it’s such an amazing field to be involved in.  The next week is mucho busy, I have a medical board exam coming up later this month which I’m preparing for so all my afternoons and evenings will be dedicated to that until further notice.  Busy, but working hard toward something you’re passionate about is a luxury and I’m truly so lucky to be both a doctor and a researcher.  Life’s awesome…especially when you’re equally passionate about your hobbies and live in a place where work and pleasure mix seamlessly.  The past few weeks of skiing have been mega fun both on and off the resort.  Here’s a mix of iphone shots from resort shred yesterday with Essex and last week with my friend Lauren (while our boyfriends were off filming in the woods together haha).  Foggy fun learning new tricks and getting a little stuck sometimes!  Tip: après ski with ice-cream instead of beer is a real game changer.  Time to drive back home and post up for a study marathon.  Peace babeskillets, Tita xx
