Poolside with Executive Hotels

It’s Friday night!  My Friday night consisted of hot tea in bed with a book (The Sick Rose, such a cool read if you’re into medical stuff and history), and now lots of sleep.  Kicking this cold in butt!  My brain is pooped after a day of studying, as well.  Cozy and chill is the way to be.  Speaking of chill, I had the loveliest stay at the Mountainside Lodge by Executives Hotels in Whistler last weekend.  Like I mentioned in other posts, it was Crankworx (a big mountain bike festival and competitive event) so the village was super busy.  It was perfect to be able to get away from the hectic scene anytime of the day, while staying right in the middle of the village.  The pool area was so chill, never too busy and there’s nothing better than hot tubing or swimming with a view of the mountains.  The best spot to sip your morning coffee.  My room looked out onto the pool area with the mountains in the background…so ideal (excellent for scoping when the hot tub was empty haha).  Definitely recommend this hotel, centrally located in the Whistler Village and also right at the base of the main gondolas (great for skiing and biking).  Walking distance to all the tasty food (as well as it’s own in house restaurant Trattoria di Umberto), and all for a good price.  A hidden gem!  Thanks for having me Executive Hotels…I’ll be back!  In addition to this location, they have hotels all over Canada and United States in lots of rad cities like San Francisco and NYC (on my list!).  Time to snooze.  Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx
