Cape Kiwanda Adventures with my love <3

Was lucky enough to escape to the coast with Essex this past week, and we went to one our fave spots: Pacific City, Oregon.  This moody little beach town is cloudy every time I come and I absolutely love it.  So cozy.  The surf is good and the dunes are mega fun to explore.  We stayed at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda, overlooking the beach (highly recommend this hotel – so cute and has the best in-room jacuzzi to hop into after a cold water surf).  What I love about Pacific City is that everything is so close: the beach, the surf shop, the coffee shop, the brewery, the restaurants…you walk everywhere!  First of all, start your morning with a coffee from Stimulus Coffee (cozy coffee shop of choice).  Once you’ve got a caffeine buzz, definitely try to go surfing while you’re here.  There’s a great local surf shop that rents gear (Moment Surf Company), and the sandy beach break’s whitewash is great for learning!  Snapped some shots of Essex killing it out there, then I went out for a little paddle and tried to catch some mini  waves (not anywhere close to Essex’s level haha).  Once you’ve had your morning adrenaline session and you feel accomplished, it’s time to mow some tacos at Ben & Jeff’s and then go explore the dunes and Cape Kiwanda.  Hike out to the tip of the cape and you’ll feel like you’re at the end of the world.  It’s so wild and beautiful – honestly there is no other place like it.  We saw a whale while up on the cliffs…so close to the shore, too.  Amazing.  After a day of outdoor fun, grab a beer and/or food at Pelican Brewing or if you’re feeling fancy head out to Meridian at the new Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa for some fine dining (if you’re feeling a little baller, this hotel is gorgeous and right on the beach).  Love escaping to this little town with Essex, we always the best time.  We just escaped to another beautiful spot for a couple days: Priest Lake.  Time to enjoy the lake cabin life babeskillets (follow along on my Instagram (@titaszlachetka), Tita xx
