I’m neck deep in journal review but came up for air to make to have dinner (grilled chicken and a salad, classic summer meal) and blog.  Going to put in a couple more hours of work after this, super lit for Friday night…but I went for a long run this afternoon today so I feel good and refreshed to work!  Being outside really is the cure for any stress or cabin fever.  An amazing place to spend time outside is Pismo Beach, California.  About a 20 minute drive from San Luis Obispo, this coastal town has huge stretches of beach that you’re allowed to drive on as well as decent wind most of the time which makes it quite the kite surfing hub.  We lucked out and there happened to be a huge kiting expo going on.  It was so cool to see all the trucks on the beach and driving in the sand.  Super majestic to see tons of colorful kites in the sky, too.  I really want to get better at kiting so I can do it at more places (it was too crowded for me here).  After walking around checking out the scene, Essex went for a session and I had a delicious beer on the beach.  It was super windy so I posted up in the back of the car for yet another awesome view.  Afterwards we hit up the town and had the best cinnamon rolls ever at Old West Cinnamon Rolls.  This place is retro looking but makes delicious stuff and have good coffee, definitely check it out if you’re in the area and hungry.  I could use a Kona brew right now, but I’ll stick to tea this eve haha.  Have a awesome Friday night babeskillets, Tita xx
