Good morning!  It’s Thursday and I’m up early studying.  Here’s a cozy look for a day of working from home (or reading a book in the backyard…the coziest!). Love this strawberry top, a simple t-shirt with a cute touch.  I’ve been wearing it a ton this summer.  Some casual jeans, some chill kicks, and voila!  Matched my water to my look by adding strawberries and lemon in haha.  Love making a big jug of water with mint, fruit, etc. and then sip it throughout the day.  Hydration is muy important!  Of course, the best accessory to finish any look is Moka, so majestic and brown.  Love being home with that little ween!  I’m stoked because after I finish studying this morning I’m packing up and heading to Whistler for a few days with Executive Hotels for Crankworx!  They have a lovely hotel right in the village and it’s the perfect place to stay during a fun festival like Crankworx (a huge mountain bike event that’s been happening for over ten years).  There’s tons of events going on both on the mountain and in the village and I’ll be checking it out all weekend.  Love having my own zone though, as I can get work done during the day/in the mornings as well.  Productivity and fun in the same place, the way I like it.  Follow along on my Instagram story (@titaszlachetka) as I’ll be updating you on what to do and where to go throughout the weekend.  Whistler is always awesome, and I haven’t been up there since the April so I’m hyped to see some friends and my favorite mountains.  Talk later babeskillets, Tita xx

Hello!  It’s been a while since my last post, but this week was a whirlwind of work and study overload.  Completed the latest chapter of my research and will be putting it on the back burner for a little while.  I’m taking another medical board exam in September so August will be fully committed to prepping for that.  Afterwards, I’ll be doing some traveling before diving back into my research in October.  Sometimes you need to take a step back and realize it’s OK to take a little break from something when you have over-stacked your plate.  It helps when the research facility you work for is super supportive and taking a brief study leave is easy, too.  I feel so much better about everything already and not stressed about fitting everything into the day anymore.  Still working hard, but at a healthy pace…burn out is not on my schedule!  Just finishing up a day of studying and it’s time for an overdue outfit post.  Ruffles are one of my favorite details of the summer and stripes are always my jam.  This top is actually off-shoulder but you can wear it one-shoulder as well, which is pretty cute in my opinion!  Some little denim shorts and platform sneakers finish this sweet, summery look.  Casual and perfect for fun summer days.  I doubled up on chokers here and love the combo of a thick velvet band with a delicate gold chain.  I can’t believe it’s the middle of August already!  I’m going to try to be more on top of my blog now, I still have so much to share with you from the summer so far!  Talk tomorrow babeskillets, Tita xx

There’s been some forest fires in BC this summer and the air is smoky…so weird not to be able to see the mountains!  The weather is weird because it’s hot, but not very sunny.  I hope the smoky skies go away soon though, I want to start running again but the air quality isn’t the best at the moment.  Anyway, here’s a perfect smoky day summer look.  This t-shirt is a cool towel-like material and perfect for warm yet overcast days.  Paired it with some cute shorts; suede and scalloped.  These are sweet as they can transition into fall pretty nicely with some boots and a loose-knit sweater.  The wooden heels make the look more summery (dressy yet chill).  Spent the morning at the office and back home now studying for the afternoon.  I made a big jug of tasty water with mint, lemon, and pineapple to sip on and keep cool, so good!  Time to get more work done so tonight we have time to watch a movie (or the start of a movie)…we’ve keep postponing it everyday since I got home haha.  Talk later babeskillets, Tita xx

It’s Wednesday evening again, which means time to pack up my stuff for some cabin time at Priest Lake.  Since it’s my last week in Idaho, me and Essex are taking two days off so we’ll be there until Saturday morning!  The best way to finish off an epic yet productive month in Idaho.  Yesterday and today I was studying up a storm (so that I can feel good about the brain vacation for the next couple days), as well as hitting up all my favorite Coeur d’Alene coffee shops and food spots.  Lots of goodies to share with you this month :).  Here’s a preview of what I’ll likely be wearing this week…a beachy coverup!  This silk dress by Gypsy 05 is so perfect for beach/lake/river/pool/puddle/any-body-of-water days.  So comfy and super easy to change into a bikini from, it’s basically like a towel-wrap haha.  The tye-dye is sick too.  No shoes, no problem…but I added a delicate choker and anklet (which is actually just another choker doubled up) to glam up the look.  I picked them up a local shop here in Coeur d’Alene: T-Blue Boutique.  They have a ton of clothing (from small designers, to Wildfox and FRAME) as well as cool bling.  A nice little find right in the heart of downtown Coeur d’Alene.  Alright, time to pack up some ‘kinis and coverups and study until Essex finishes work for the day.  The drive up is only an hour and a half, but it always feels like a fun mini road-trip.  Last week we stopped for dinner at the cutest roadside dinner the tiny little town of Cocolalla (the only food establishment there).  Love stuff like that!  Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx

Hope everyone is having a lovely Monday.  The weekend was great, got a ton of work done and last night we had an awesome outdoor dinner at The Buoy for Essex’s mom’s birthday.  Lovely company, tasty food, ice cream, and cold beer…perfecto!  Today I got up early to hit the books, then took a break to help Essex with a video project where I got super sweaty running in the heat haha.  I worked at my favorite coffee shop for the rest of the day…the best way to spice up Monday; a change of location!  Winding down at home now, getting some studying done until Essex comes home.  Long days for the both of us over here!  Here’s a pretty look from a little while ago.  Another matching set, but this time with a long wrap skirt!  So flowy in the wind and I love the look of this with some nice heels.  The overall vibes are pretty fancy that way, but you can totally dress it down with some sandals for a beachy look.  I felt like twirling around in this the whole time haha, and I dig the slit up the leg to give the skirt more dimension.  The top is super cute on it’s own, too.  I especially like the tie-up detail in the back.  It would also look great with some high rise jeans.  Time to continue studying!   Have an awesome Monday night babeskillets, Tita xx

Happy Saturday!  I started mine with a couple hours of research work and feel productive already haha.  The time off at Priest Lake was amazing as always, a relaxing day on the lake.  Dock chilling, boating, surfing, swimming, and watching movies in the evening: all the best activities.  Yesterday morning I even got to fly back to Coeur d’Alene in a little plane!  It was so cool to see the lake and surrounding mountains from up high, and I was back so fast.  Essex had work errands to do on the way home that morning so I hopped in with his parents on the mini plane.  So cool!  I was in study mode by 7:30am thanks to the quick flight.  Yesterday evening I took a little time off for live music at The Buoy, which was extra nice because I got to spend some time with Essex while he was working.  Such a perfect place for live music, right on Lake Coeur d’Alene.  Went right from studying to the show, that’s why I didn’t get a chance to post this look last night. Here’s the outfit I wore on the drive up to Priest a couple days ago.  Summer in black basics.  Sometimes it’s nice to wear black in the summer, too!  This t-shirt wrap dress is so comfortable and looks good with white sneakers.  A hat makes any simple look a little more fun, and I love my big hats.  How dope is this tote bag though?  I got it as a gift a little while ago and I’ve been using it all summer.  Perfect for carrying my laptop and notebooks to my fave cafés, as well as for mini groceries.  I looked up the brand and it’s a British company that makes a variety things with funny sayings.  Check them out here!  Alright, time to get back to work.  Have an awesome Saturday babeskillets, Tita xx

Winding down for the evening.  Brain is full of medical facts and I’m ready for a chill movie night at home.  We’re in the mood for Wes Anderson so we’re going to watch The Life Aquatic, woo!  Here’s another look featuring these rad culottes, I posted the matching set here.  You can style these things so many ways though.  I really like them with white and this plain cropped t-shirt does the trick.  These wooden heels (or some straw espadrilles) dress the look up a bit and the wide leg of the pant looks sweet with some heels.  I love pieces like this that you can dress up or down, so versatile.  These pants would totally work for the office with a nice blouse, as well!  Alright, time to take a shower and chilllllll.  To a cozy Friday night babeskillets, Tita xx
