Hello babeskillets! This blog has seriously been neglected over the last few months (or more like six months). The blogger world is changing, and the platform of choice is inevitably Instagram…which I do love using, but I don’t want to completely forget about this blog. I really enjoy the writing aspect and having my own little corner of the world wide web.

So what’s been going since 2018? Well, lots. I’m currently sitting at the airport waiting to board a flight to Idaho (to visit Essex, the arm candy) for a couple weeks, and I feel like the airport has been a frequent place for me to visit in 2019. Let sum it up in a nutshell though.

Finished off 2018 with a trip to LA with my mom…we had so much fun, and I legitimately fall more in love with LA every time I go. I say that about a lot of places I visit though haha.

After Christmas at home, I rang in 2019 in the mountains of Idaho (heck of a time as usual), then after a couple weeks of pumping out medical research in Vancouver, I went to JAPAN! Skied all the pow in Niseko, soaked in all the onsens of Hokkaido, and saw all the Harajuku street style in Tokyo. It’s all on the ‘gram (photos and story highlights…which are basically like video blog posts/vlogs), in case you want to check it out (@titaszlachetka). Be sure to follow along on all my daily adventures and outfits there! Anyway, let’s continue…

After Japan, me and Essex flew straight to BALI to meet up with Izzy (my fellow blogging BFF who you should get to know as we are taking this little blog world by storm, k?) and her boyfriend, Chris. A double date vacay if you will. I really loved Bali though…I need to go back for sure. Amazing tropical villas, delicious food (alllll the fresh juice and smoothies), warm water surfing (I caught SO many waves!), and just a chill and cool vibe.

After a month overseas, I came back home just in time to fly to Montreal to present my research at a medical conference (hosted by the Canadian Rheumatology Association), which was honestly a sick time as well. I enjoyed fully nerding out in the rheumatology world for the week. Took my mom with me, and we had such a fun time in Montreal, too! Made me want to go back to Paris soon, though – I just NEED to.

After Montreal, ’twas March already. I finished off my travel heavy winter with an epic west coast road trip with Essex for Nordica and Subaru. We hit up different ski resorts along the way, as well as epic coastal towns…finishing in LA, obviously. Such an adventure: my favorite kind of trip. Stay tuned for a video of this being released by Nordica and Subaru in the fall – I’ll share the link here for you babeskillets.

The spring flew by and was a mix of hustling my research work, visiting Essex in Idaho when I could, and catching up with friends. A couple of my best girlfriends are getting married this summer, so we’ve had some fun pre-wedding festivities (bridal showers, bachelorette weekends, etc.). It was truly nice being home for a little while.

This past month has been busy, too. After presenting at another rheumatology conference in Vancouver, I flew to Idaho to see Essex for a few days, then came home and almost right away was off again. Me and Izzy went to Calgary for the Calgary Stampede, where we got to shoot really fun western content for some brands (check out all the looks on Instagram), as well as just have the best time soaking up all the Calgary Stampede has to offer. After we got back to Vancouver, we actually had a blogger closet sale with a couple other girls (Ruby and Leigh) – which was a big success and we want to have another one soon! I get so much clothes through blogging – and even though I love all the pieces, I’d rather share them with you babeskillets than have them sit in my closet! Stay up to date with what I’m selling by following my closet sale Instagram account: @teetscloset (doing a massive purge so will be adding to this continually). I ship to Canada and the USA :).

That about sums it up babeskillets! The rest of my summer is going to be split up between Idaho and Vancouver – I’m lucky enough to be able to work on my research projects remotely for the next couple months, so I’m able to come and spend more time with Essex (and his new house, which is going to be so fun to get all dialed in!). I’ll be in Idaho for a few weeks this time, so looking forward to it.

Love being on the chill program in Idaho – hence the chill vibes outfit in this post. Into oversized jeans right now, and this pair from Nasty Gal is legit my fave. Threw on a cozy sweatshirt with the perfect: “THIS IS MY DAY OFF SWEATSHIRT” graphic haha (via Femme Luxe Finery – they have so many fun/trendy pieces made in the UK, and they’re so light on the wallet). I also slid on some Gucci slides to finish the “look” off. Dad vibes but make it fashion hehe.

Anyway, this is a long post but I thought a recap was needed. I want to keep my blog alive! While my primary platform for sharing content is Instagram, I want to make an effort to post here once or twice a month. Hold me to it dudes. Need to evolve with the times, but keep the OG blog going, too.

Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx
