Pretty arrangements ❤

Hello from Canada!  Feels so good to be back home, but I already miss Essex and our Idaho summer routines.  I think Moka the wiener dog is super stoked to have me back though…she’s been sleeping with me at night and is always by my side when I’m home.  The best little doggy!  Essex got me these flowers for the prettiest goodbye.  Wish I could have taken them home with me on the plane, but I at least got to enjoy them during the day as I was packing up.  He also developed all the film photos from our California road-trip this spring and it’s so awesome looking through them.  Love film and how you can’t see the moment until you develop the roll.  So may pretty photos that make me smile (and laugh out loud)!  Anyway, I ended up getting home after one in the morning as one of my fights got a bit delayed, and finally got to bed at around three.  Long day haha.  Yesterday was a day of unpacking, laundry, catching up with my mom, and getting ready for the work and study hustle.  Sometimes you need a catch-up day like that.  It’s actually a holiday here in British Columbia today, so I’m spending the day studying at home.  Back to the office tomorrow morning, though.  I have quite a bit of things I want to accomplish this month with studying and research, but I also want to consistently put content on here!  I have tons of outfits, cafes, and adventures to share.  Staying organized will be key, but I love getting in a productive routine.  You have to if you want to get all your work, studying, work-outs, and to-dos done in a day!  Alright, time to take Moka for a quick walk, then back to the books.  Talk later babeskillets, Tita xx

Priest Lake mornings ❤

Good morning from lake paradise!  After an amazing evening last night we woke up to sunshine.  It’s so peaceful here, especially early in the morning when there’s no one on the lake yet.  One of my favorite places to have a morning coffee; either up on the deck or down on the dock.  The plans for today are to fully chill and embrace the lake life: surfing off the boat, swimming off the dock, paddle boarding, etc.  I absolutely love it and can’t believe how lucky I am to be able to do this weekly this summer.  Time to seize the day in the most relaxing way haha.  Talk tomorrow when I’m back Coeur d’Alene!  Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx

Lake Coeur d’Alene Cruise

Just got back from a fun little cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene!  We went out to film some shots of a new boat the boys have for rentals, the perfect excuse for me to take a break from work.  I told you some girlfriends were in town as well, so we all went on the big pontoon boat together.  So fun, mini pontoon party!  Essex was in the droning zone, as you can see haha.  We boated around the lake while the little flying robot buzzed above.  Love how you can switch to lake boating mode so quick here, just a quick jaunt to the water and back.  Have an awesome Saturday night!  My plans are to get some more work done then maybe grab a casual beer downtown before bedtime.  Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx

Weekend Fuel

Iced or hot?

Happy Saturday!  We got back from Priest Lake yesterday early morning and I went straight into work and study mode.  On the same program for this weekend.  Pictures will come…when I have a chance to edit, sorry!  Thursday was epic though, it felt like we were there so much longer because we left early Wednesday evening and came back Friday morning…basically a like whole weekend.  The weather was beautiful, and we drove up in time to go for a sunset surf on the first night!  Spend all of the next day in the water: boating, surfing, dock chilling, and swimming.  Essex’s parents were there as well and it was so nice to spend relaxing time together!  Quite the contrast to my weekend thus far haha.  All good, maximizing time off and then being mega productive is so the way to go.  Here’s a tip for anyone in study mode for board exams or something of the sort this summer:  get a french press and make a whole batch of coffee in the morning.  I grab a cup of hot coffee to start then let the french press chill and make iced coffee with the rest throughout the day.  I put a glass with some ice inside the freezer to make it extra cool for when I poor the coffee in.  I add some milk to mine, as well.  You’re set for the day and don’t have to worry about making any more coffee…just pour and get back to work!  Alright, time to actually sip some iced coffee and get some more studying done.  Some girlfriend’s are here this weekend and boating on the lake in town today and I’m going to join them for a little later this afternoon…so time to grind it out so I can take that break later!  Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx

Berries for Breakfast

Summery breakfast 🙂

Whew!  Today was full on work mode, but I’m all done now!  Spent the whole morning making sure I had everything ready for my conference call and then spent the afternoon in said conference call.  Everything went well with lots of good feedback, but my brain is wiped for the day haha.  Started my morning with this summery treat: fresh mixed berries and coffee.  Basic, refreshing, and delicious.  It got me energized for my day of on the research grind.  After my meeting I put on something cute, went to my favorite cafe in town, and casually typed up my meetings notes/edited some of my research work/updated my project to do list.  I’m finding that in research with every step you take forward, new things that need to be done pop up that you didn’t know about!  All good, making progress and working hard.  Finishing up at the cafe and waiting for Essex to pick me up after he finishes work for the day.  Then it’s day off time!  We’re driving up to Priest Lake this evening and tomorrow is a day of relaxation.  Thursdays are our weekends this summer haha.  Back to work on Friday, but that’s far away…  Have an awesome evening babeskillets, Tita xx

Monday Morning

Morning work fuel

Monday morning!  This weekend flew by, mainly in work mode on my computer but we did get out on the boat with some friends Saturday evening for a little sunset cruise which was so nice.  Back at it this morning, I have a meeting via conference call in a couple days so I’ve been pretty hunkered down with research stuff.  I have so many nice photos from my first week in Idaho to share with you guys though…soon!  For now, here’s a shot of how I started my day: coffee and wholegrain toast with peanut butter, bananas, and sunflowers seeds.  Goes well with the pretty sunflowers Essex brought me yesterday.  When I’m working on a big project, I break it up into pieces (months, weeks, days) so I don’t stress out about getting things done on time.  If I reach my monthly/weekly/daily goals I know I’m on the right track.  It helps so much with not feeling anxious when I’m relaxing or taking a break.  If I know I’m on top of my schedule I can fully enjoy my time off.  Same goes for when I’m studying!  Unless I’m in last-minute stressed out cram mode haha…then it’s all hands on deck and hope for the best on test day.  BUT if you stay on top of your work plan, you can avoid that!  Anyway, once I finish today’s work goals I will hopefully have time for a run in the evening (the best fresh air brain reset) and a blog post.  Talk soon babeskillets, Tita xx

Sunset beers and golf cart rides 🙂

Hello!  Have been in work mode for the majority of the day and I’m currently at a cafe and will definitely be here until they close.  Friday haha.  We got back from Priest Lake early this morning and had the absolute best time yesterday!  The weather was perfect, the water was warm, and the day was full of wake surfing and general boat fun.  It’s extra serene out there and the perfect way to maximize a day off.  Although, I already took a day off for the 4th of July this week so I’m making up for lost time by working on my research through the weekend!  Well worth it.  Haven’t had a chance to go through photos from Priest yet but they will come soon…so beautiful there!  In the meantime here’s some shots from the evening of the 4th at The Buoy.  It’s literally the best place in Coeur d’Alene to have a patio beer: lake views and the best service.  The Blue Moon on tap with a slice of orange is my beer of choice there.  I even got to ride in their golf cart on a supply run with Essex haha…so fun!  Time to work for another hour or so then home for a chill evening.  Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx
