Drinks at Nordstrom with mamabear ❤

Over the holidays me and my mom always try to go downtown together to casually Christmas shop and browse.  The shops are always so festive this time of year and it’s such a warm feeling doing this with my mom.  It’s something we’ve been doing since I was 15.  We stopped by the bar inside Nordstrom for some drinks a bite.  So cozy to do that and it’s nice to talk and spend time together when we’re both relaxed.  Hope everyone gets to enjoy some family time this holiday season, it’s more important than the gifts in my opinion.  I’ll be up late tonight burning the midnight oil and getting everything finished research-wise for tomorrow.  Currently drinking tea and not a martini.  How classy do martinis look, though?  This one was a little stronger than I wanted but between the two of us we sipped it slowly haha.  For those of you also going to be on the late night grind, have a productive night babeskillets, Tita xx

Lulus: sequin dress here / velvet dress here / black jumpsuit here

Came home from a getaway to New Orleans to some early holiday goodies!  ‘Twas a jazz and cocktail filled time in NOLA celebrating a good friend’s wedding and soaking up all the city has to offer.  Since I last graced my blog, I also got festive and hit up a tree farm that my family has been going to for years and found a few trees (yes, a few, we don’t mess around).  I love the house when it’s decorated for the holidays.  We have so many old family ornaments with new additions each year (from pickles to manatees, there’s a fair assortment). Anyhow, I’m currently cozied up for the week finishing up the next chapter of research before the holidays.  Jumped right back into the books after my week long hiatus of jazz, champagne, martinis, and Christmas tree hunting.  Hustling hard to get this done as I’m very stoked to flip over a new page in the New Year.  Not research, but still medical…more about that in January though.  Before I delve back into rheumatoid arthritis here’s some holiday goodies to perk up your weekend.  Moka even graced me with her presence, she loves a good haul.

First item on the docket: AdoreMe!

I’ve mentioned this site before, but I’m going to reiterate.  They are my favorite place for bra and panty sets.  You sign up for free on their site to be a VIP member and get monthly emails with a personalized showroom based on your preferences, at which time you can choose to shop or skip the month.  You can shop at any time, too (member or not).  They always have cute styles but my favorites are around the holidays because I’m a sucker for red and plaid.  Check them out to spice up your undergarment roster and you’ll be stoked, I promise.  Who doesn’t feel more put together when their bra matches their underwear, right?  Matching bra and undie sets: making you feel productive before you put your pants on.

Second item on the docket: Lulus!

I’m working with Lulus from time to time these days and I got a package of holiday goodies from them!  All three pieces are SO up my alley.  Now to find holiday parties to wear them to haha.  Links to all the pieces are available above, so check them out.  They literally have so many dresses on the site at the moment.  The sequin dress is perfect for New Years Eve, the velvet dress is so lush, and the pantsuit is simply backless perfection.  I’ll be sure to post looks in these beauties once I wear them.

That’s all on the docket for now, thought I’d share a couple of my faves on the online retail end with you guys.  Enjoy!  Have a dope rest of the weekend babeskillets, Tita xx

Check out Lulus here!

Hola hola!  Another week flew by which consisted of finishing my seminar course, getting closer to finishing my research projects, and skiing in a winter wonderland.  I love living somewhere that there’s dope skiing…nothing better than zooming around in the mountain air.  Whistler, the perfect place to run away from responsibilities haha.  Yesterday, December 6th, was St. Nicholas Day.  In Poland, it’s tradition that kids (ahem, and…older kids) wake up to presents from St. Nick at the foot of their beds.  It’s a tradition my family does every year and I hope to never be too old for it haha.  I scored and got a David’s Tea advent calendar with a different loose-leaf tea to drink each day.  Currently sipping today’s (organic saigon chai).  Of course, me and my sister also got some classic chocolate advent calendars so I’m doubled up haha.  What’s awesome is that now Moka gets presents, too.  Santa jimmy-rigged an advent calendar and filled it with dog treats for each day, she was hyped.  Buzzing off 6 days worth of overdue advent calendar chocolates, I headed to the hospital for work and was greeted by the coolest low-hanging clouds engulfing Vancouver.  Weather is cool, man.  Finished the day by coming home to a package from Lulus!  So. many. cute. things.  Thank you Lulus!  I can’t wait to wear it all, and you’ll be seeing it here, of course.  Check out their site for sure, so many cute and affordable on trend pieces.  Perfect for holiday shopping.  I’m totally going to sport Lulus from head to toe today haha.  Anyway, this weekend will be a change of scenery as I’m headed to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding (follow along on my Instagram, as always)!  So excited to check out a new city and celebrate everything.  On the list for today: go suit shopping with Essex.  Time to head downtown!  Have a fun Thursday babeskillets, Tita xx

Hello Winter and Hello Updates!

Shred Kit: jacket + pants – Airblaster, helmet + goggles + mittens – POC

Hello winter and hello blog!  It’s been a whirlwind fall and I can’t believe it’s already almost December.  According to my Instagram, I’ve been gallivanting around free as a bird the past few months.  It’s true, I did go on quite the collection of epic trips and adventures, but it was intermixed with hectic weeks of work and studying and set backs and changes in life plans and all that good stuff haha.  Everything is awesome though, and as all wise humans and miniature Buddhas covered in hair say everything happens just how it’s supposed to and it’s always for the best.   That being said, with my updated career game plan thought out (not a change in field, I’m more stoked than ever to doctor it up…but more so where I plan to do it…exciting, but scary, but exciting!!!) it’s time to get back to regularly blogging.  It’s something I genuinely enjoy so dang much and it’s my main creative outlet (among all the medical mumbojumbo I surround myself with, it’s the perfect pairing).  It’s rad that I found something creative to work on easily from anywhere, anytime I need a little break.  I love medicine, but I’ve always had an artistic side so I’m stoked I found a way to manifest it a little while pursuing my career.  Personal blogs: they’re lit.

After a blissful week in Maui celebrating oh so many things, I came back to cozy Vancouver and daylight savings time induced 4:00pm darkness.  So with that, we blinked and it’s winter.  I’m back in my mustard coat which I love (but will be looking for an updated palette for this season…if you feel good in your shred kit, you ski better and harder…it’s a fact, google it).  Whistler opened last weekend and as is tradition I went up for opening day.  So much snow, it felt like we skipped early season and went right into middle of winter conditions.  Then me and Essex drove to Fernie (a dope mountain town about  a 12 hour drive East of Vancouver) for a ski movie premier he’s in.  Big screen boyfriend in a cool old theatre, so proud.  He previewed another video project he’s working on for this season at the premier, as well.  He started to film for it in Maui and therefore it featured yours truly in the most epic snorkel segment of all time haha.  Such an awesome time, and I just love historic small towns.

So what’s in the books for the rest of 2017?   Well my babeskillets, I’ll be working my butt off to finish the first chapter of my research thesis by Christmas, finishing my seminar course (last “course” ever), and getting things sorted for a more American focused new year.  More about that another time, though.  In the meantime, I’ll be skiing when the conditions are good, hanging out in my favorite mountain town (Whistler) with my favorite boyfriend (Essex), and flying to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding.  Super excited for all of it!

Quite the reading load, but an update was warranted.  More outfits, cafes, escapes, ski adventures, and fun coming your way.  Here’s to Life of Tita 2.0 babeskillets, Tita xx

Betty or Veronica?

I’ve always been a Veronica ❤

Happy official Halloween!   I’m spending my day flying across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii so no dress up for me today.  I should be landing around now if my flights are on time (I scheduled this post ahead of time).  Anyway, I love Halloween so here’s a fun and easy Veronica look.  Perfect for your last minute costume needs with items you can likely find in your/your sister’s closets.  I got inspired from a popular TV show my sister watches, Riverdale, which is basically Archie comics meets Gossip Girl in the present day haha.  I based my costume on how Veronica dresses on the show: pearls (always), preppy skirts, heels, and a darker color palette.  Of course the final touch is a chocolate milkshake from Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe (vanilla is for Betty).  Have a spooky night babeskillets, Tita xx

Halloween, Halloweiner!

Moka the halloweiner ❤

Hola!  Today was a long day but an awesome day.  I presented my entire project proposal to my supervisory committee at the hospital and it went really well!  Approved!  Got home this evening so exhausted haha.  I’m not sure why presentations and meetings always make me so tired…must the energy spent being nervous/excited beforehand.  Anyway, after tying up some research stuff tonight I packed for Maui!  Officially done and ready to fly tomorrow morning.  It’ll be funny to fly on Halloween, I wonder if the flight attendants will dress up haha.  In light of tomorrow’s spooky holiday, here’s some majestic photos of Moka in her costume.  The halloweiner.  She actually likes this one (usually you can’t keep any clothing on her)!  I dare you not to smile after seeing a super content mini ween dressed as hot dog while perched on a pumpkin.  Happy Halloween babeskillets, Tita xx

Sunsets on the beach ❤

Just watched the last sunset of this California trip!  Today was another beautiful day of beach chilling, SUP-ing, and surfing in Seal Beach.  Had the loveliest last evening here with Essex.  We flew the plane a little more, too haha.  Here’s some photos from the other night when the sunset was too epic not to take photos of.  I love how the row of beachfront homes look with the palms and the cotton candy colored skies.  I’m always happy among palm trees.  It’s funny, this whole trip there’s been a foggy marine layer in the morning, then blue skies and epic sunsets the rest of day and evenings.  Alright, time to enjoy our last night here!  Off to Europe tomorrow evening and there’s some packing and last minute details to attend to.  Talk tomorrow, Tita xx
