Sunday morning sunshine and I’m about to go for a run.  Life is good.  Got up early to do a final edit of my project proposal before I sent it out.  Feels so bueno that’s it’s finito!  Today will be a little hectic because I have to get all packed and ready for Mexico (flying early tomorrow morning) and we also have some family visiting from the UK that are flying in this afternoon!  Stoked I overlap with them at least a little bit, but I’m so glad I got all my work done and now I’m just doing the fun stuff: packing, planning outfits, at home pedicure, etc.  Excited to check out a new place, it’ll be my first time in Mexico.  I loved showing Cristina around Vancouver when she was here, as it was a new city for her.  She’s starting a job in New Hampshire this month…so excited for her, she’ll be a dope pediatrician!  Kill it lady!  Here’s some photos of us exploring Granville Island and strolling around Kits beach area.  The weather wasn’t the best but the rain cleared up long enough for us to have fun outside.  The view of Vancouver, with Stanley Park and the surrounding mountains is so sick from Kits beach.  A great place to take in the whole city on a clear day!  Alright, time to run it out.  Have a dope Sunday babeskillets, Tita xx

Happy Saturday!  Today I woke up quite early to pick up some packages in the states (we have a P.O. box there, so good for online shopping as some companies don’t ship to Canada) then had an appointment.  About to go for a run,  then it’s work mode for the afternoon and evening.  Finishing this project proposal tonight!  The weather’s funny today, sun with showers in between.  Makes me miss a little while ago when it was hot and sunny every day.  So nice when it’s like that!  Here’s some assorted photos from the sunny spell.  First, there’s a staple hot summer lunch: watermelon with a spoon and iced tea…with a side of Moka the mini ween.  Love it when it’s warm enough to post up and work in the garden.  I also love walking over to Gabi & Jules, a local pie shop, to work sometimes.  There’s no internet there so it’s perfect for reading journal articles (no distractions haha).  Their rhubarb cobbler is my favorite pie at the moment!  Had a high school reunion a couple weeks ago and the weather was sunny so I opted for white jeans, Dolce Vita wedges and a cute off-shoulder blouse.  Always down for ruffles and an off-shoulder cut.  So many people came out for it!  Glad I made it out.  Alright, time to go for a run!  On my way to the running trails I always pass by Vivio Flowers, a beautiful flower shop that has a different display every time I run by.  Couldn’t pass up a photo of these roses that matched my Nikes one of the days haha!  Here’s to getting work done on weekends babeskillets, Tita xx

Friday morning vibes working at home today!  Love being able to either work at home or the office, the mix of cubicle days with home days is perfect and helps maximize what you get done in the week in my opinion.  Pretty fun having my own corner cubicle though, haha.  This is what my work space usually looks like when I’m in article review mode: tons of journal articles with a side coffee in a cute fox mug.  Also pictured is a typical office look: jeans (ripped, white, and Current Elliott in this case), a cool blouse (or a sweater/comfortable shirt), and some cute kicks.  Chill office style perfection.  The best after work treat if I have an extra long or stressful day is a crepe from Café Crepe…simple Nutella bliss.  It’s always nice to walk through downtown briefly after a work day before heading home, I love the busy city vibes.  Time to finish my latest project proposal!  Talk later babeskillets, Tita xx

Woke up to rain today!  It’s been a while, it’s refreshing…but only for a couple days hopefully haha.  Mornings with Moka the mini weiner dog are especially cozy when it’s raining.  She’s the best little bugger, brown from head to toe.  Here’s some photos of the ween in morning chill mode for your viewing pleasure.  Rolled up worm mode and chillin’ bambi mode haha.  In the spirit of my upcoming Mexican adventure, I sipped my morning tea in this dope ananas (pineapple in Español haha) mug.  Tropical vibes on a rainy day.  Off to the office now!  Talk later on babeskillets, Tita xx

Coal Harbour

About to go to bed, have been reading medical journals for the last couple hours while sipping a glass of chilled vino.  The best way to make working late fun: pair it with wine.  Tonight’s rheumatoid arthritis reading was paired with a Sauvignon Blanc.  Highly recommend it for any medically related readings haha.  Had the best run this evening, just as the sun was setting.  Reminded me of an evening stroll along the water in Coal Harbour a little while back.  Vancouver really is such a beautiful city by the sea.  Definitely check this out if you’re visiting, the walk takes you all the way to Stanley Park and offers majestic views of snowy peaks and the ocean.  Starting at Canada Place you walk by the Olympic torches from the 2010 Olympics hosted here and watching sea planes land and take off in the water is always fun, too.  I was a early for a dinner downtown and had some spare time so I grabbed a latte and enjoyed an evening walk.  Boat scoping and coffee, ’twas perfecto!  Alright, time to snooze…it’s midnight.  Goodnight babeskillets, Tita xx

Main Street Cruising

Worked from home today and I’m about to go on a nice long evening run.  Had a leisurely work day which is exactly what I needed.  Speaking of leisure…I’m pretty sure that is what Seal Beach is made for.  Cruising down Main Street on cruiser bikes is the epitome of Cali beach town life.  Riding along palm lined roads will never get old for me!  I always love my time down there with Essex.  The main strip of Seal Beach looks like a cute town straight out a movie but with a California edge.  It’s always fun to ride bikes over there!  Tons of tasty food, boho shops, and places to grab a beverage.  There’s also a OG surf shop there, as well.  Harbour Surfboards has been shaping longboards there since 1959.  So many beautiful boards and surf history in there!  Rich Harbour, the founder and original surfboard shaper still sometimes comes a shapes boards there…so rad.  There are quite a few clothing boutiques, too all with the same boho beach style vibes.  Stitch and Feather is especially nice with an interior worthy of many a Pinterest pin.  I always love checking out the local shops and maybe picking up a stylish little treat.  At the end of the street right by the pier/the beach there’s a sweet bar and seafood restaurant called The Hangout.  I may have mentioned it before, but this place sells beers brewed in whisky barrels.  Such a cool taste, but watch out…they’re stronger than normal beer!  One is more than enough for me haha.  Time to get outside and enjoy the last of today’s rays.  Talk later babeskilets, Tita xx

Happy Monday!  Writing from the office this morning.  I got up early to beat traffic and have a nice and quiet office space to myself.  Love it and love how it’s already sunny at 6:00am…makes it so much easier to wake up early!  Before I start going through medical journal articles for the day here’s some photos of me and my sister strolling around town.  Can’t beat those Vancouver city vies, even on cloudy days.  So nice having my sister around these days, between me studying in Europe for a few years and her time in Toronto at the National Ballet School we haven’t both lived in the same place in a while.  She’s a cool teenager for sure and one of the funniest people I know.  Stoked to have a rad sister like that!  We both rocked some ruffled tops and black jeans in different ways that day.  An awesome thing about having a sister is sharing clothes…twice the couture!  Time to get to work.  Have a hard-working Monday babeskillets, Tita xx
