Crescent City is the first town you come across when you enter California from Oregon. There’s an awesome bay with mellow surf and very few people. We opted to stay the night after a sunset surf session. An interesting place to stay, we actually parked the car in an RV park for the night. It may have been an old RV park (Anchorage RV) but the view from our spot was epic: the whole beach was our front yard. Walk-to-surf camping is hard to beat! It was such a dope place to make a camp breakfast, too. By the way, the breakfast of choice for us is avocado-egg-bacon toast with some freshly percolated coffee. Yummm! It was pretty funny to wake up and look out onto a trailer park but the views in the opposite direction more than made up for it. In the evening we came across a dock full of seals (think 50 or more) making all sorts of funny noises haha. It was awesome, thank you Crescent City Seal Ensemble! Crescent City not may to be a pretty town but it’s a great place to spend the night if you’re car-camping and on a road trip South. The beach just South of town is super beautiful! If you leave from there, you can leisurely drive the next day and get to San Francisco by the evening (much better than trying to get to San Fran the night before and stopping at a rest stop on the side of the road at 4:00am haha…last year’s technique). Time for me to hit the hay after another mucho productive day. Early morning office session tomorrow so I want to maximize my zzzzz. Night babeskillets, Tita xx
