Sipping a cup of herbal tea after a day of using my brain and I am so ready to chill for the rest of the night.  It was a hot one today, but not quite as hot and humid as Mexico.  Here’s an awesome spot to check out if you’re in Sayulita as it’s nice to get out of the little town explore surrounding areas…especially epic beaches.  We went to a different spot everyday and it was awesome.  La Lancha is just a quick hitch hike away from Sayulita (about fifteen minutes).  That’s right…we hitch hiked.  Literally so easy to do there as many people drive trucks…you just walk up to main road, stick out your thumb, say “to La Lancha”, and in minutes you and your surfboard are on the way.  Pretty cool way to travel and you don’t have to worry about your car/the things inside it while you’re at the beach and surfing.  Recommend it if you’re in Sayulita for a short time with no car and want to surf/check out surrounding spots…but only if you know exactly where you want to go and you’re in a group of course…I think it’s safer if there’s at least one guy in the crew as well.  What was really sweet is the place we rented boards from had a shop right by La Lancha as well so those of us who rented didn’t even have to commute with boards.  Across the road from the surf shop, you walk down a forest trail for five minutes and you’re at the beach!  La Lancha is a fairly popular spot but much less busy than the beach in Sayulita.  There’s some waves to surf, warm water to frolic/swim in, white sand to walk on, and some cool cliffs to hike up for a nice view.  We had a mix of sun and very welcome clouds when we were there…and I still burnt a little!  Recommend this spot, especially if you want to post up on the beach for the day: lots of space and no vendors walking around trying to sell you things.  It had a nice wild feel to it.  Time to relax and fall asleep dreaming of Mexico’s beaches.  Goodnight babeskillets, Tita xx
