Java and empanadas 🙂
Good morning! Have been up working for a couple hours and taking a break to have some tea and to blog. Thought I would share some gems in Sayulita for mornings on-the-go. It’s nice to get going quick in the mornings that way you have all day to explore and have fun…then have a nice sit down meal in the evening for dinner. Maximize those daylight hours! If you’re in Sayulita you have to go to La Empanaderia Sayulita. The ladies in here bake the most delicious empanadas every morning, fresh from the oven and soooo tasty. It’s a cute little to-go counter with a yellow awning right in town, can’t miss it. My favorites were the poblano pepper for savory and the apple cinnamon for sweet. We would stock up and get a bunch for long beach days, then pop over to a fruit market to pick up some mangoes as well. Wish I could teleport one of their empanadas over right now! For java there’s Coffee on the Corner in Sayulita, which has super good lattes and fun walls. It’s located on a corner (duh) close to the surf rental shop (WildMex Surf & Adventure). Super easy to find, Sayulita is very small haha. Speaking of WildMex, their second location in La Lancha has an adjacent cafe which we checked out one day. I got an iced latte and Essex got a Mexicano, both great. An awesome spot to grab a coffee before heading down to the beach to surf. There’s hammocks to chill out in as well! Time for me to get back to work…running some errands this afternoon as well so I want to get mucho done this AM. Have a lovely Friday babeskillets, Tita xx
