Hello from California!  It’s been so nice spending more time down here.  The days are full of beaching, playing in the water, strolling around town, and eating good food.  Didn’t get a chance to sit down and edit/write a post the last couple days, just fully enjoying this extended free time with Essex.  All good, when I’m back in Vancouver later in October I’ll have lots of awesome travel and outfit posts for you.  We fly to Europe late tomorrow night!  So excited, but also equally stoked to have two more days here.  Yesterday turned out to be a full on beach day: warm, a little breezy, and not busy.  It was so perfect.  Played in the water on the big board, cartwheeled around the beach, and even read a little but (it’s been so long haha).  We had dinner at Ballast Point, a new brewery and restaurant in Long Beach.  Try it if you’re around, lots of good beer and tasty grub.  Sunday was a day full of activities: from flying remote control planes in the morning, to standup paddle boarding midday, to Oktoberfest and wiener dog races in the afternoon, and back to flying planes during sunset haha.  As you know Moka is the best wiener dog out there but I appreciate all weens.  When we were in Huntington the other day we saw a sign for wiener dog races and we just had to check it out!  I was so surprised to roll up to a little Bavarian village with full on Oktoberfest celebrations.  Made it in time for the races and it was so funny and cute.  The best sporting event I’ve seen in a while haha.  We sipped some beers and Essex tried some classic sausage and sauerkraut…it’s like we were in Europe already haha.  The most random but awesome day!  Currently sipping some coffee at home and about to go for breakfast with Essex’s grandparents.  Not sure what the plans are for today but definitely some SUP or surf are on the program!  I’ve been loving the SUP lately, so much more fun in the wavy ocean than on a lake.  Talk to you later babeskillets, Tita xx
