Hello winter and hello blog!  It’s been a whirlwind fall and I can’t believe it’s already almost December.  According to my Instagram, I’ve been gallivanting around free as a bird the past few months.  It’s true, I did go on quite the collection of epic trips and adventures, but it was intermixed with hectic weeks of work and studying and set backs and changes in life plans and all that good stuff haha.  Everything is awesome though, and as all wise humans and miniature Buddhas covered in hair say everything happens just how it’s supposed to and it’s always for the best.   That being said, with my updated career game plan thought out (not a change in field, I’m more stoked than ever to doctor it up…but more so where I plan to do it…exciting, but scary, but exciting!!!) it’s time to get back to regularly blogging.  It’s something I genuinely enjoy so dang much and it’s my main creative outlet (among all the medical mumbojumbo I surround myself with, it’s the perfect pairing).  It’s rad that I found something creative to work on easily from anywhere, anytime I need a little break.  I love medicine, but I’ve always had an artistic side so I’m stoked I found a way to manifest it a little while pursuing my career.  Personal blogs: they’re lit.

After a blissful week in Maui celebrating oh so many things, I came back to cozy Vancouver and daylight savings time induced 4:00pm darkness.  So with that, we blinked and it’s winter.  I’m back in my mustard coat which I love (but will be looking for an updated palette for this season…if you feel good in your shred kit, you ski better and harder…it’s a fact, google it).  Whistler opened last weekend and as is tradition I went up for opening day.  So much snow, it felt like we skipped early season and went right into middle of winter conditions.  Then me and Essex drove to Fernie (a dope mountain town about  a 12 hour drive East of Vancouver) for a ski movie premier he’s in.  Big screen boyfriend in a cool old theatre, so proud.  He previewed another video project he’s working on for this season at the premier, as well.  He started to film for it in Maui and therefore it featured yours truly in the most epic snorkel segment of all time haha.  Such an awesome time, and I just love historic small towns.

So what’s in the books for the rest of 2017?   Well my babeskillets, I’ll be working my butt off to finish the first chapter of my research thesis by Christmas, finishing my seminar course (last “course” ever), and getting things sorted for a more American focused new year.  More about that another time, though.  In the meantime, I’ll be skiing when the conditions are good, hanging out in my favorite mountain town (Whistler) with my favorite boyfriend (Essex), and flying to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding.  Super excited for all of it!

Quite the reading load, but an update was warranted.  More outfits, cafes, escapes, ski adventures, and fun coming your way.  Here’s to Life of Tita 2.0 babeskillets, Tita xx
