velvet pants: Lulus (here – in burgundy here – and without slits here) / top: Brandy Melville / shoes: Public Desire / bracelet: David Yurman
Mid-afternoon study break to make a salad and toss up an outfit post! The best quick break activity: blogging, of course. Wanted to share this look I actually wore for our Christmas Eve dinner (Wigilia in Polish) that I think works so well for cold weather date nights and semi-fancy events. These velvet pants from Lulus are perfect for a go-to fancy look that isn’t a dress (I also wore them to a winter wedding rehearsal dinner), and they are so comfortable! Win win. I just checked on the site and they’re out of stock at the moment (but Lulus tends to restock most items so keep an eye out!) BUT I linked the same pair in a dark burgundy (which I’m so tempted to get, too haha) and another pair of very similar black velvet pants only without slits. Paired this look with a sheer and sparkly top and a black bra underneath. Looks good with both a lace bralette or tank top underneath, too. Kept the rest of the look simple with some black ankle booties and a delicate bracelet. Hope this gives you some outfit inspo for your next night out or special event!
