Hola! After a long day of studying, I’m finally in bed. Before I fall asleep, here’s an outfit perfect for Vancouver’s indecisive spring weather. Woke up this morning to pouring rain, and by noon it was blue skies and sunshine haha. With all the weather changes in a day, it can be tricky to dress for spring, especially if you’ll be out of the house all day. In the AM, do you wear Hunter rain boots and a raincoat or do you opt for just an umbrella to keep you dry until it (hopefully) clears up and gets nice out? In addition, a cold morning can turn into a warm afternoon…do you freeze in the AM or sweat in the PM? Decision decisions haha. My approach to the early spring weather sitch is to combine winter pieces with summer pieces. They mix well, trust me. Here I’m wearing a denim miniskirt (summer staple) with a balloon-sleeved knit sweater (winter basic). The white keeps the sweater more springy, too. Since it’s still a little cool out, over-the-knee boots are dope to wear: they make your legs look great AND keep them warm. Finally, if it’s on the cloudier side, throw on a hat (baker boy cap, cute toque) for a cozy touch. Donzo! There’s only so many days in a year where you can wear skirts with bulky knits and bare legs: embrace it haha. And with that, it’s time or me to sleep. Ciao babeskillets, Tita xx
