Southern charm <3
While in New Orleans a few months ago, we were lucky enough to stay at the Henry Howard Hotel located in the Garden District. This old manor remade into a boutique hotel is such a little oasis amidst the loud and hectic vibes of NOLA. I felt like I was teleported back to the 1700s. The patio has wicker rockers perfect for posting up at to read a good book and sip some coffee, and the architecture is to die for. The rooms all have a unique touch and each feature a different instrument. Jazz, baby! We got the clarinet suite which had the coolest old fashioned wallpaper. The bathrooms are stocked with Beekman 1802 bath products and have an old time vibe. Antique touches in the room played up the historic vibe, but mixed with modern minimalist style it created such a dope aesthetic. Loved the antique mirror in the bathroom, straight out of the 1920s. I’ve always been fascinated with history and staying here made me feel like I traveled back in time to the old south. Loved it! Plus, it was the close to Christmas so there was some extra festive decorations, as well. Bonus, this small hotel has coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby as well as a bar with a list of cocktails straight out of The Great Gatsby. The cherry on top would have to be the complementary warm cookie delivery to your room before bed. Goals. Definitely check out this hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay in NOLA a little away from the French Quarter hecticness. Cheers babeskillets, Tita xx
