Cloudy skies brightened up with pretty flowers <3

So you’re in Cali, right?  Sunshine and heat is what you came for, but what about those sporadic cloudy (and even a little rainy) days?  Look no further, I got you covered.  If you’re in the Orange County area, here’s a fun way to spend a moody day in Seal Beach.  Of course, getting flowers is a bonus and great start to a cloudy day hehe (thank you Essex :)).

Breakfast at Simply O Organic Juice Bar

First stop: breakfast.  To stick it to the man (the weather), get your tropical breakfast on with an Açaí bowl from Simply O Organic Juice Bar.  This juice bar and flower shop hybrid has the cutest interior full of items to browse and a garden-like terrace to eat your bowls at.  After some nutritious sustenance, it’s time to hit Main St.

Harbour Surfboards

First stop is Harbour Surfboards.  If you remotely like surfing (or surfers) then this is a must.  This iconic storefront has been around since 1959, shaping surfboards since the birth of the California surf culture.  The interior is adorned with surfboards from various decades hanging from the ceiling…it’s like a built in surf museum in a store.  They shape the prettiest surfboards here, too!

Elison Rd.

I discovered this boutique two years ago when I found the PERFECT pair of Dolce Vita wooden heels.  Elison Rd. always has an amazing assortment of bohemian yet girly pieces.  Plus, they carry so many of my favorite brands.  For a small store, it’s packed full of cuteness and you’ll be sure to come out with a couple purchases (all at a great price point).  You can shop from them online, too!

Java fix at Javatinis

A mid-morning coffee break is always a good idea and my favorite place to grab a latte in Seal Beach is Javatinis.  They have the best coffee in my opinion.  Perfect for a coffee on the go!  I ask for a regular latte with a hint of vanilla and it’s soooo good.

Stitch & Feather

The largest boutique on Main St., Stitch & Feather has a huge inventory of dreamy pieces.  The display of the pieces is next level and you find yourself leaving the store with both cute items and home decor inspo.  Beach babe and boho vibes: sold.  Once again, you can shop them online!

Isabelle’s Cabinet

The third boutique I adore is Isabelle’s Cabinet.  It has the cutest pulls and on trend pieces from so many unique brands.  I would say this boutique is the most girly, but carries so many pieces that can be styled in an edgier way.  Shop them online, too!

When the sun comes back <3

The nice thing about California is that sooner or later, the sunshine will come back.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my favorite places to eat, sip, and shop in Seal Beach on a “bad” weather day.  Here’s to lots of sunshine this summer, but also to appreciating the cloudy days.  Cheers babeskillets, Tita xx
