Summer is officially here! Vancouver summers are hard to beat, even in the tropics. There’s something amazing about soaking up the sun on a beach while looking at snow capped mountains in the distance. Canada, eh? What better way to enjoy the nice weather than a little beach post-up. Snacking on pomegranate in the sun…so summer. To start off your summer wish list, here’s the cutest little number from Tavik. Navy, red, and white: a classic color combo that’s the perfect touch of nautical. Loving one pieces lately, there’s so many fun options around now that the trend is in full swing. This halter style swimmie is super flattering, with an open back, and just the right amount of cheekiness. It’s reversible to all-white, too…which I’ll be sporting when my tan is better haha. Apart from the bathing suit, a beach afternoon isn’t complete without a beach kit. What’s in mine? Here’s the low down on what to bring to the beach to relax whilst getting the ‘gram:
-sunnies!
-sun screen!!!
-a straw hat to protect your noggin from the sun
-a scrunchie to tie your hair up with when it gets windy
-a fruity treat (today’s choice: pomegranate)
-the Ouai’s Wave Spray to maximize your beach babe waves in the salty air
-comfortable slip-on sandals or flip flops
-a cute tote to hold it all (lately obsessing over woven bags)
-a book to read while soaking up those late afternoon rays
-bonus is some fresh flowers from you’re local flower shop (thanks Vivio Flowers) for the most optimal ‘gram
Pro tip: have your beach kit packed and ready so you can quickly grab it at home after work/school and bolt it to your nearest beach. Even an hour in the sun and by the sea can make your stresses seem faraway for a little while. Here’s to an awesome week babeskillets, Tita xx
