It’s been a whirlwind week in the city by the sea! Last weekend, me and Kaya had a bomb day shopping/browsing/nibbling on tasty vegan food (Kaya’s request haha). Then Essex surprised me by coming back to Canada early! He took us to a sweet Jamaican place for dinner, The Reef on Main St., then we had such a perfectly chill and relaxing day at my place on Sunday. Sometimes a day of nothing with your favorite person is all you need (featuring baking cookies and watching Pulp fiction). This week I was in laboratory mode at St. Paul’s Hospital in the Center for Heart Lung Innovation working on a project on heart muscle contraction mechanisms. It’s been a mega busy week of research and I can’t believe it’s Friday already! Just about to head into downtown for my last day at the lab to finish up this experiment…more on this week’s science adventures later! It’s been super interesting and absolutely amazing though.
