Wesołych Świąt Wielkanocnych <3

Hello from Whistler again!  Spent the weekend with the family celebrating Easter, and now me and Essex are back in Whistler (celebrated his Birthday up here yesterday, too!).  Easter the Polish way is all about food.  We bless Easter baskets full of eggs, sausage, bread, etc. on Saturday, then on Sunday there’s a big ol’ brunch feast.  My fave part is the babka my mom bakes…so good, like a sweet bread.  Moka is very into Easter; she loves guarding the basket…mainly because it smells like sausage though.  One of my all time favorite traditions that my family does is our Easter eggs.  We do it the wax and dye method where you cover up what you want in a certain color dye with wax, then move on to the next color dye and do the same…eventually you put the egg in the oven to melt the wax off and you’re left with a colorful egg, or pisanka in Polish.  We save ours over the years (they’re hollow, we blow out the egg contents through little holes at the top and bottom), so we have so many beauties to look at now.  You can see what I was into through the tears by whats on my pisanki haha.  Hope everyone had an awesome Easter with family and friends babeskillets, Tita xx
