Latte time <3
Hola! Taking a tea break after a long morning of studying, but what else is knew? Honestly, I love what I do so I’m OK the hours of studying it takes. True nerd talk. Anyway, thought I would start another little series on this blog (if you haven’t checked out my other series called Shred Life, find the lastest episode here, what are you waiting for?), and this time it’ll be all about coffee shops. I love a good place to sit, sip, study, read, talk, people watch, freak out on the inside, etc. I’m pretty sure we all do. So I thought I’d make an official category for coffee shops I hit up and dig (find Coffee Shop 101 under the Yum category of my homepage). I’ll start today with Spade. Nestled in the Commercial Drive area of Vancouver, this out of the way coffee corner is just the place to meet up with a friend to catch up. Cozy vibes and tasty lattes: the standard for a Tita friendly coffee shop. Also pretty standard for Vancouver is coffee beans via 49th Parallel, which is basic but tastes great haha. Something a little different about Spade is their pink lattes made of beets. My friend ordered this and contrary to what I thought when I heard beet and latte in the same sentence, it was tasty! Also, proceeds from every pink latte you buy go to the Vancouver East Side Women’s Shelter, so you can feel extra good when you sip it. They also serve up the vino, so you can totally hit this spot up for a post-work drink. Bonus is the wall outside: all white with a big black spade painted on it. Very photo friendly. Check out the outfit I shot at the wall here.
Overall, here’s how it ranks in my very scientific questions:
‘gramable? YES
study friendly? meh
sit-down vibes? YES
to-go? YES (white cups with a spade stamped on them – s’cute)
moula? the norm (by that I mean 4-5 dollars for a latte)
Happy sipping babeskillets, Tita xx
