Sunday Funday in NOLA <3

If there’s a city to do a Sunday Funday in, it’s New Orleans.  We lucked out and had a sunny warm day to explore the town and do a cocktail tour of the French Quarter.  It feels like vacation because you can stroll around while sipping your cocktail of choice…crazy.  We started the day on Bourbon Street which is lined with restaurants that have balcony seating.  We hit up Bayou Burger for Bloody Mary’s and deep friend pickles (so so good) and afterwards we continued to stroll along Bourbon Street where every second door was a bar selling drinks to-go.  Such an insane vibe haha.  We cruised along towards Jackson Square and the Mississippi River while peeking into shops selling voodoo dolls and all sorts of stuff.  There was a really cool outdoor café/bar off the square called Gazebo Cafe that served up coffee and drinks while a live jazz band played.  So dope.  Of course, a trip to NOLA isn’t complete without eating a PoBoy and our friends took us to Erin Rose, a bar that also has a PoBoy joint in the back (Killer PoBoys).  Highly recommend it; hearty and tasty!  Later that evening we ventured over to Frenchmen St to go to an authentic jazz club, The Spotted Cat, and truly take in some epic jazz.  Honestly such a cool experience even if you don’t normally listen to jazz (like me haha).  There you have it, Sunday Funday done right in NOLA.  Hope you all have a Sunday Funday in your near future…they don’t happen very often for me, but when they do they’re awesome haha.  It’s actually the New Orleans Jazz Festival this week, so if you’re in the area check it out!  Cheers babeskillets, Tita xx
