I’ve recently had the opportunity to try out some of Hello Hair’s products! Hello Hair is an Australian hair/beauty company that focuses on using 100% natural ingredients in their products to keep your hair healthy, hydrated, and extra pretty. They’re also cruelty free and vegan, which doesn’t hurt.
They sent me some of their famous hydrating hair masks to try. These oil-based masks use natural oils to help restore your dry and damaged hair back to the health and shine it deserves. I know after spending lots of time in the cold, dry mountain air this winter, my hair needs a dose of hydration. Perfect timing! I tried two of their hydrating masks, and here’s what I have to say about them:
Island Escape Edition:
This mask teleports you to the tropics with a fragrance that’s naturally derived from lime, grapefruit, vanilla and coconut. It contains pomegranate seed oil (increases blood circulation to the scalp which helps with hair grown and promotes strong, healthy hair), grapeseed oil (moisturizes the scalp and protects hair from environmental damage), organic coconut oil (revitalizes damaged hair while adding shine and softness), argan oil (full of Vitamin E and natural anti-oxidants, it’s a super hydrator for your hair), olive oil (helps smooth your split ends and minimize frizz), olive leaf extract (this stuff is amazing as it’s packed full of protein, vitamins, and minerals that strengthen/repair/hydrate your hair all the while being anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial in nature – hello!), and castor oil (help hair roots and scalp stay hydrated as it’s rich in omega-9 fatty acids, which in turn helps promote healthy hair growth).
I am obsessed with how this mask smells! It contains the same oils as the Island Escape Edition but adds subtle hints of white grapefruit, patchouli, geramium, sweet orange, and ylang ylang to create a scent that makes you feel like you’re in a spa. Super relaxing and zen. This mask is enriched with pure lavender and rosemary oils, as well. These oils are shown to have a stimulatory effect on hair growth, so say hello to more luscious locks.
I use the masks once a week (or even once every two weeks – they’re very hydrating and I don’t have a ton of hair) right before I wash my hair. I alternate masks, depending on my mood (tropical mood or spa mood haha). I leave the mask in for about half an hour (wrapped up in a towel – sunglasses are optional haha), then rinse it out thoroughly in the shower, and continue on to wash my hair as normal. The result? Hydrated and healthy hair from top to bottom with some extra nice shine! These masks would also be really great for restoring color treated hair that’s damaged/dry.
I’ve also been trying out Hello Hair’s Natural Lash + Brow Enhancer. This cool little product helps promote growth of your hair from it’s root while also strengthening the hair follicle. It enhances keratin production (which is a protein found in your hair as well as your nails and skin) that in turns leads to restructuring the hair follicle, stimulating hair growth, and also prolonging youth of the hair. These effects are due to ingredients like watercress extract which when applied externally, has a long-standing reputation as an effective hair tonic that helps to promote the growth of thick hair (it’s been used for centuries!). Great for brows that need to be filled in and lashes that you want to make fuller and a longer. I apply this to my lashes and brows before I go to bed and leave it on overnight. I feel like my lashes have been looking a little longer and fuller after a few weeks! Like the hair masks, this product is free of artificial ingredients like parabens, silicone, propylene glycol, etc.
Hello, healthy hair <3
I’m a happy camper with these hair masks. Not only do they smell amazing and leave my hair feeling hydrated and soft, they’re made of natural ingredients with medicine to back up each oil in the formula. Same goes for the scientific background of the lash and brow enhancer. Dr. Tita approved haha. Check out Hello Hair for all of these products and more (they ship worldwide)! Say hello to healthy hair babeskillets, Tita xx
