The Seal Beach life is the life for me. There’s something about this beach town just South of Los Angeles that has my heart. Small town feel mixed with Cali beach vibes and LA swag. My perfect combo! Thought I would do some posts about this special little spot so that if you’re ever in the area, you’ll know exactly what to do. First of all, wedged in between Long Beach and Huntington Beach (another great town), Seal Beach marks the start of Orange County. As soon as you cross the bridge from Long Beach, the vibe magically gets chiller. Here’s a play by play of a typical day in Seal Beach. Follow along!
8:00am – One of my favorite things about Seal Beach is it’s the proximity to the beach (duh) and the surf . There’s nothing like putting on your wetsuit at home and walking down to the beach with your board. Morning workout, check!
10:00am – Brunch. Main St. is lined with tasty places to grab a bite at any time of day. My favorite breakfast/brunch spot is Crema Cafe. It has the cutest outdoor seating area as well as ssome damn good food. Try their croissant Eggs Benny…yep, you heard that right. SO GOOD. With a latte on the side, of course.
12:00pm – Optimal rays call for tanning on your deck. Protected from the wind, it’s the perfect place to sip a beer, read a book, and soak up that vitamin D.
3:00pm – On the agenda is an afternoon stroll on the pier and another surf sesh (or watch your boyfriend go or another surf sesh). Like most California beach towns, Seal Beach has an classic pier. It’s a lot more quiet that Huntington and Santa Monica which I love. Perfect for a walk and for a great view of the surfers and crashing waves.
5:00pm – Take in some late afternoon rays while reading a book. When I’m in California I try to get as much sunshine as I can. Even when I’m not in bikini mode tanning, I love chilling on the deck in the sun.
7:00pm – Dinner time, and likely the first time you’ll use your car all day. Venture over to Long Beach and go to Ballast Point for beers and food. This restaurant and brewery hybrid has ocean views and a chill atmosphere. They also boast a hefty beer list with something for everyone’s tastes.
Tasty <3
9:00pm – Ice cream o’clock. A favorite spot on Main St. is Cold Stone Creamery for a cone on the go. SO GOOD. I just love the small town vibes Main St. has, and getting ice cream at the end of a date is very very small town cute haha. Walk off your cone on your way home and you’re set!
Voilà! The perfect Seal Beach day. Well really, one of many ways to have a perfect day in Seal Beach. Already looking forward to the next time we’ll be lucky enough to spend some time here. Happy California dreamin’ babeskillets, Tita xx
